Rutendo Madzikanda

Rutendo cares most about queer rights & the preservation of an Afrikan identity through narrative and representation. She holds a Bachelors degree in Gender and Diversity Studies with a focus on social inequality. Rutendo is actively unpacking what it means to be a black intersectional feminist through exploring afro-centric feminism. She hopes that through her work with Isusu Ffena, she can add to the queer narratives of Afrikans.

Tonderai Koschke

Tonderai is a German-Zimbabwean architect & fan of literature and art. A top priority on her agenda is decolonisation, which she sees as an important mission that also unites people of Afrikan descent living in Afrika as well as those in the diaspora and their allies. She is holds a master's degree in Architecture. In her research, spatial & curatorial practice, she is constantly aware of the power dynamics expressed in the built environment which defines everyday life.

Nora Chirikure

Nora is a Pan-Afrikan feminist passionate about creating spaces where people socialize, learn about Afrikan histories & inspire change. In 2019, she curated the Isusu Pan-Afrikan Festival, which is now continuing as a collective effort under the name Isusu Ffena. Nora holds a BSc in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and a MSc in Economics and Management Science. She currently works as a Research Fellow and Project Coordinator at the Berlin-based think tank, Africa Policy Research Institute.

 

Lorna Leku Queenie

Lorna is an advocate of Pan Afrikanist views & sees education as a means to realising economic independence, solidarity and change. Drawing from her experiences on both the African and European continent, she has come to be critical not only of her surroundings but of herself as well, questioning her own privileges as an African woman in Europe. She is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in European management in Brandenburg.

Tsitsi Mareika Chirikure

Tsitsi is an African literature advocate, pan-Africanist, curator, environmentalist, and event organiser. With a passion for reading and discussing literature, Tsitsi has an online platform where she shares her work and the books that she engages with called @Mkay_reads. Tsitsi's work takes on a post-colonial, anti-racist and black feminist lens. In recent years, Tsitsi’s work has continually focused on environmentalism and ecology as key aspects in the global mission of decolonisation. In line with this she currently works at Radical Ecology as a project coordinator and at the Environment Agency as a project support officer.
